The first Sunbeam motor car was the Mabley, a De Dion engine machine built under license. Sunbeam produced a series of sports/racing cars and achieved the first Grand Prix victory for Great Britain in 1923 at the French Grand Prix. Sunbeam as a motor car marque disappeared in 1974.

In 1919 the first Armstrong Siddeley, the 30hp 5 litre motor car appeared, a product of an amalgamation between Armstrong Whitworth (Motor Cars) and Siddeley-Deasey. The last Armstrong was made in 1960.
